Inspiraciones

1. Poster Stefan Sagmeister's studio created for Lou Reed's album (his lyrics were intensely personal so they deemed it appropriate to superimpose them onto his face)
2. An image I saw on lookbook. LOVED the depth and illusion of infinity/overall concept of the second photo.
3. And sort of a juxtaposition to the aforementioned image ... does "always" exist? Another reflective/mind-blowing concept by Sagmeister. Lyrics by a Ben Harper come to mind:

like a handless clock with numbers
an infinite of time
no not the forever found
only in the mind
forever always seems
to be around when things begin
but forever never seems
to be around when things end

Somewhat melancholy set of words, I realize ... but certainly fitting for the visual.

Regarding my life, ideas have been flowing, I feel focused, my friends are wanting to dress up in costume every single weekend, I am learning TONS. And just read a really great article about peak moments in Psychology Today. I read it as sort of a justification of my seemingly hedonistic mode of living. Life is good. If only I could see the floor in my room :)

Murder Mystery

So much going on at the moment ...

BUT .... SUPER excited about my good friend's Murder Mystery Birthday party happening tomorrow. I can't even express ... lordy, my friends are so much fun. The theme is roaring twenties speakeasy and we will be dressing up in twenties garb (flapper dress, doing the Charleston, etc.) and I will be Carrie, a young jazz singer. I am totally thinking Erte for costume inspiration. I wrote a little twenties screenplay in the 7th grade .... can we say foreshadow?
